What is Horizon Europe?

​

Horizon Europe is a research and innovation funding program funded by the European Union (EU) with a budget of approximately €95.5 Billion, to be implemented in 2021-2027. With this program, the EU will fund the research and innovation dimension of the policies it carries out at the Union level (especially health and climate change).

With regards to health policy, the European Union attaches great importance to the prevention of diseases, the correct diagnosis and treatment, and the implementation of effective and less costly care options.

It is now evident that the financial and social burden of the aging population on the health and social insurance system will only be overcome by supporting new care models inspired by research and innovation, and healthy life policies that will keep people healthy for a long time.
